Welcome to my Digital CV - Ben Soole
Recognising the place that ICT and technology has at Kamo Primary School I have chosen to create a digital CV as I believe that leaders need to lead by example through talking the talk and walking the walk. I understand the role that ICT has within our classrooms and how it can motivate and excite our learnings as well and transforming a classroom of four walls into a world of knowledge and ideas with just 1 click. At Kamo Primary School I understand the journey that the school has been on which has established the school as a leader in the field of ICT use and integration. This use and understanding of ICT must be modelled from top to bottom and I have always walked the walk and talked the talk with ICT use in my personal and professional life. Being a leader is more than just using and understand ICT though and through my CV I believe you will get a sense for who I am and what I will bring to the role of Principal at Kamo Primary School.
Please select the pages to the right of this page to view and read through. I have chosen to give you an insight into who I am under the same titles used in the document Tataiako and the 5 key competencies outlined in the document which are associated with education success and achievement. Although the document is geared towards achieving education success for Máori learners I believe strongly that they are competencies that benefit all learners and leaders of education. The document is one that I use and look to regularly and the 5 key competencies are paramount to a successful school and its educators and its learners.
Under each heading I have highlighted and reflected on my own practice, thoughts and what I have done to help my school and students to succeed with their learning. With the information under these headings I believe I will build a picture for you about why I am the best person to lead Kamo Primary School into the future on a pathway that will ensure our students are successful and are learning for the future.
Ki te whakawhetai,
Ben Soole.
